Haith Abhulahad, his new book A Stranger in Your Own City,

describes the Iraq War before and after the American intervention in 2003.

It begins with the Iran-Araq War when he was five years old observing F4

phantoms over the Baghdad city.

The scene, however, that we speak of in these moments

is his experience with seeing Saddam Hussein in a motorcade when he was supremely in charge of Iraq

and then later on at the trial and the case is made that the trial, the prosecution by

the American authorities supervised by American security, transformed a criminal Saddam Hussein

into an old man who was speaking for the people of Iraq and then the execution

and then a macaap scene of the executed Saddam Hussein taken to a wedding of the

Prime Minister Maliki's son and displayed before the wedding gas and then their reaction.
