This season we are reading My Man Jeeves,

a humorous collection of short stories by P.G. Woodhouse.

Sir Pelham Grenville Woodhouse was an English writer

and one of the most widely read

humorists of the 20th century.

He was born in Guildford, England in 1881.

His most famous works are his series Worcester and Jeeves, which even went on to grant him

a glittering Hollywood career during the 1930s.

We know our listeners are as unique as our novels and lucky for you.

Our bookshelf is varied with lots of different types of stories to lull you into a deep sleep.

The following is a preview to give you an idea of what to expect from this season. Primarily set in England, pre-World War II,

the stories of Jeeves and Worcester feature the wealthy, charming and often clueless Bertie

Worcester and his exceptionally capable valet, Jeeves, whose skills and intelligence consistently resolve the various social, romantic and financial entanglements that Bertie and his friends find themselves in.

These books were so popular that they were made into a TV series in the early 90s,

featuring the well-known comedy duo you may have heard of, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie.

My Man Jeeves is an early collection of Woodhouse's short stories,

but in the 1930s, Woodhouse did continue their shenanigans into full-length novels.
