Good evening and welcome to the Sleepy Bookshelf.

This season I am excited to be bringing you Little Women by Luis Sime Alcord.

We know our listeners are as unique as our novels and lucky for you our bookshelf is varied

The following is a preview to give you an idea of what to expect from this season.

Little Women was first published in two instruments in 1868 and 1869.

It's a coming of age story set against the backdrop of the American Civil War.

The novel follows the four March sisters living with their mother in their family home

in Massachusetts.

Our father serves as a chaplain for the Union Army.

There is beautiful and ladylike Meg, headstrong and tomboyish Joe, sweet and compassionate

bear and artistic yet selfish Amy.

We'll watch them grow up mature, find their loves and experience their first losses

as they navigate the wider world beyond their front door.

We hope you will join us for this season, however if you decide that Little Women isn't
