Conversation with Henry Sikalski, my colleague.

where he's the Executive Director.

I learned that once upon a time the U purchased a great deal of enriched uranium ore for the nuclear

power fleet of the United States from Russia.

Since the States have moved to stop the purchase of Russian and

enriched Uranium ore entirely was paying Ross Adam the state

controlled Russian atomic energy business, lots of money. However, I also learned

from Henry there are waivers and there are extensions and their grandfather clauses. In other words we continue to buy

enriched uranium ore from our adversary in Ukraine. Trading with the enemy is the old way of talking about it.

It hasn't stopped entirely. The law says that existing

contracts can continue and there may be waivers which have already been exercised in the case of one firm,

if they can show that they need to get this cheap award from Ross Anim or they'll somehow be jeopardized financially in a big way.

They can continue to get those waivers through 2028, so it's another four years.

But the idea is... 28, so it's another four years.

But the idea is to turn the screws and start saying no and not to grant the waivers

and to make the ban firmer and firmer.
