This is John Batchel, a conversation with my colleague and friend, Professor Evan Ellis of the U.S. Army War College, the news that President Trump announces that in office he will raise tariffs on Mexico and Canada.

as Canadian products is meant as a bargaining tool to get Mexico's attention to indicate that you

have to move to solve these issues that are clearly impacting U.S. security and well-being.

And the two big ones certainly are the control of immigrants flowing through Mexican territory

Well, clearly, you know, the Mexicans have their own issues with the United States.
