This is John Batcher, conversation with my colleague Charles Burton in Ottawa about a mystery in Canada involving the pandemic, possibly, viruses definitely, researchers in extremely secure labs, one in Winnipeg, and the other of course now notorious in Wuhan. This is an involved tale said to be under investigation by Canadian authorities, although it is now four years, five years,

since the scientists involved two Chinese nationals who emigrated to Canada were

escorted from their lab in Winnipeg. They are now in the mainland of China.

Here's Charles Burton to explain what we know about the investigation by the Trudeau government,

what we need to know. More of this tonight.

No, I mean, they say the investigation is still ongoing.

The information that we've received has come because of leaked documents by concerned members of the

Canadian Security Intelligence Service who have given this

information to the global mail newspaper and the government's been

unable to deny it but they won't you know they won't answer proper questions as to how this came about and nobody

associated with the lab including whoever must have given permission for

members of the People's Liberation Army to enter that lab and engage in research have been made

accountable.

So you know the process under which this whole thing occurred with the many large numbers of people

who must have been at minimum negligent and possibly

worse, nobody has been called into court and made to account for how this happened.
