This is John Batchler. Jeff Bliss, my good colleague, Pacific Watch, Vegas report, sent me two photographs of two houses, one in Las Vegas, one in L.A.

The price was almost the same, more in L.A. than in Las Vegas. But the image, what we're looking at here is Las Vegas was perfect.

Perfect house, more than 2,000 square feet.

L.A. was, well, it was wrapped in iron bars.

Frightening.

And it was only, it was less than 1,000 square feet for more money than Las Vegas.

Jeff asked the right question.

Compare and contrast these two houses.

Right now, you can buy that house in Las Vegas right now.

That gets you three beds, two baths, and 900 square feet in an area where you have to have a locking iron gate around

your home fence there. All your windows have to have grates or bars on them. And your front door

has to be especially reinforced steel door with a cage around it. And like you said, here's one that's

932 square feet in one of the worst parts of L.A.

That's more expensive than a 2,000 plus square foot house in one of the nice suburbs of Vegas

for 460,000, about 15,000 less.

Is there any surprise why people want to move there and get out of California?

Yeah.
