This is John Batchler. Colleague, Gene Mark introduces me to a new translation available from Google.

This is AI translation, simultaneous translation of language being spoken to you.

Gene then goes a step farther and says there are ear pods that have the mechanism within them, the AI within them, so that you can stand in

midst of a conversation in a language you do not have, Spanish or Chinese, and hear what's

going on around you translated, and then it gives you what to say in return, if anything's

being addressed to you.

Well, I.O. is Google's I.O. conference. They just had this this past week, and Google released a bunch of really cool technology that I think will really benefit a lot of businesses. For starters, Google,

you know, they release translation technology. Their, their

translation technology is such that now if you go into Google Meet, you can have conversations

with people that real time will be translated back to you by voice or, you know, by text.

So imagine that, John. I mean, it's just you, voice or, you know, by text. So imagine that John.

I mean, it's just you, you know, you're speaking to somebody who's a Spanish speaker or speaking Japanese. And as you're having this conversation with them, it is being translated real

time in your ears, which is just astounding when you think about the implications for businesses that

are trying to do business services. One of the biggest challenges was dealing with these language

issues, and it's becoming less and less of a challenge. And by the way, this is spurning

different types of hardware as well. We're going to go to Spain for a few weeks in January, John.

And I'm thinking of getting there.

There's earbuds that are now available that will leverage Google's technology that will actually translate in my ear.
