This is John Batchel. Colleague, Anatole Levin, of the Quincy Institute, comments on the arrival from the night train from Warsaw, Mr. Stomer, Mr. McCrown, Mr. Tusk, and Mr. Merritts, representing a coalition of the willing to help a Ukraine.

But Anatole identifies that they're stuck on a policy that's out of date

and don't move, can't move. This is a piece of not a EU, because Britain's out, not NATO,

just these four large economies and states, and what do they do?

So at the moment, they are sort of stuck on their existing path,

but without it seems much ability to bring forward, you

know, new proposals of their own. Partly, because once again, you know, there are, God,

I can't remember anymore, is it 27 or 32?

27 EU 32 NATO.

That's right. And of course, you know, in NATO, ultimately they can obey the United States, but in the

EU, they, you know, each of them has a policy of their own.

And so, you know, they've come, they came together behind this pro-Ukraine policy, and now they're stuck with it because if they, you know, try to produce something new, they would break up into, you know, at least three conflicting camps on the subject.
