This is John Batchel. Colleague and friend Gregory Copley of Defense and Foreign Affairs comments on the Trudeau government in Canada, not trusted by five-eye. Why? Chinese shenanigans. Penetration of government circles, corruption, the usual menu of Chinese activities.

But the Trudeau government has not adequately explained some mysteries,

and therefore Five Eyes is not ready, not ready, to trust Canada again.

Gregory comments look to the future.

Certainly they've started to crack down on the Chinese penetration.

It will not be fully resolved until the Trudeau liberal-led government leaves office.

Then there's a greater issue at stake here, which is the degree of financial corruption, which Prime Minister Trudeau and some of his cabinet may have entertained with the Chinese and in other areas as well.

So one of the reasons Trudeau is clinging to power is to delay any prosecution that he might face for corruption as well as for illicit

relationships with the People's Republic of China.

But we know under Pierre Puelev, the Canadian government will be very tough on this issue.
