This is John Bachelor, conversation with Evan Ellis, Professor Evan Ellis of the U.S. Army War College,

about the report that Lula de Silva, the very powerful president, three-time president-elected, in Brazil, fell in his shower and wounded

himself, the suggestion of a concussion stitches in his head.

This meant that he missed the very important bricks meeting in Kazan Russia where bricks

went from 10 members to 23 members.

Brazil is a major component because it represents the future of Latin

America, the largest state, the second largest in the new world to the United States

only. There's other speculation about Lulidis Silva. He did show his

wound and therefore made the doubts about him skipping bricks on purpose go away but there's a lot that

depends upon this senior citizen and we wish him well Brazil in the midst of a lot

of tangles and a lot of changing directions.

Well, certainly politically, Lula the Silva continues to be very strong despite some of the most recent election victories.

But medically, while it's difficult to say,

concussions are a very, very tricky thing,

as you know, John.

And so the fact that he appears

to have sustained enough injuries where he canceled his attendance at the

Brick Summit, which in and of itself was very significant that he was not there.

His foreign minister and others basically implemented a very important

policy there which was to essentially veto the desire by Nicholas Maduro in Venezuela as well as Nicaragua to join the expanded bricks.
