Right. It's the fact that he has a new news story on every episode. Every episode is this

experiment in, here's the thing that happened in the news two years ago. How should it have been

covered? Which I think gives the newsroom like a stronger foundation than Studio 60 ever did.

Because Aaron Sorkin doesn't know comedy or understand it.

He basically had one or two complaints about Saturday Night Live.

And then once he was done with that, he exhausted himself.

But with this, like he, I mean, he fucking loves the news.

Right.

And, you know, if Studio 60 had operated more along the lines of, well, actually, no, there

was no salvaging Studio 60.

But with this, Aaron Sorkin has a particular rubric for how news should be covered, which

was outlined in the previous episode, expert facts, expert analysis, and the X factor of Will and McKenzie.

Yeah, and Lachromos soliloquies about the downfall of fabled moderate Republicans,

which is a major storyline in this episode.

And then you apply that rubric to whatever the week's stories are.

Like, I do think that this show is built to last much

more than Studio 60 years. Yeah. And I mean, I'll just say, like, it is a testament to, you know,

one of the many ways doing our show has rewired my brain. This happened on Studio 60 on, you know,

our watching of that show. But my pleasure centers have just been entirely like rewired. So he's feeding us with the newsroom. Like, it is just a, a weekly dose

of sanctimony that is so overbearing like it makes the West Wing look earnest. And I mean,
