Well, Will, should we get into our rather special little movie that we watch for this episode?

On this podcast, folks, we like to boldly go where no one has gone before.

And this is truly a movie that, I mean, if any of you have heard of this movie,

let alone seeing it, I'll be very, very impressed.

I want to start off with an aphorism that I'm fond of quoting. When we're young,

we think we're going all the way to the mountaintop. Then, some way along the journey, most men look

up at the summit and they realize they're never going to get there. Then they look down and they

realize how far they've come. And then they stop and enjoy the view and realize it's as far as they're going to go.

And in a way, I can't really quite articulate.

That is what it feels like to do this podcast in 2023.

It always feels like, you know, we're on our way to the mountaintop.

And we seek out that perfect, you know, politics.

What a concept movie.

And we never quite find it.

And for a while, that frustrates me. But then usually, when I'm an hour into an entirely mediocre movie like this one,

it gets its talents in me. I stop and I enjoy the view. And I realize I'm never going to get to

the mountaintop. But I have many years of more movies like this to look forward to.

Anyway, that's some shit that the main character of this movie says about the mountaintop.

This movie is a movie written and directed by a former United States congressman from New York's

third district named Robert Morazic. Will and I, after watching

the Ides of March, we decided to make it a double feature. We found ourselves having more fun than we
