Luke's at my house today. We're kind of hanging out, and we did something that we haven't been able to do very much lately, which was immerse ourselves in the Wet Movie Universe.

You know it.

Longtime listeners will know that we're big fans of noted YouTube film critic and lifestyle vlogger, Wet Movie One.

Genuinely, this whole universe, there are a lot of things about it.

They're really interesting.

I mean, just, it is really like a close-up, intimate portrait of like life under monopoly

capitalism and just like the search for novelty in an environment of like monopoly

imposed cultural homogeneity.

So like what you just said right there about like,

yeah, Cool Duder will go to one place and then I'll go to another place that looks identical.

It has all of the same like movies and stuff except the release of like superhero bullshit

seven or whatever. Well, like at one of them will like the packaging will be slightly different.

I mean, it's like, you know, it's life in a world where, you know, it's the Malibu-Stacey episode of The Simpsons. And, you know, they

released the one where she's got like a different hat or something. So every video starts with the

big box stores and the new stuff. But then they'll top it off with a trip to Goodwill or some Drift store where you get to see what's at this thrift store. And that's where you get to see the detritus. That's where you get to see the shit that's come out of culture.

Right.

And this is so interesting as well because the implicit premise of whenever these people go to a

thrift store is like, this is where they're finding like the underground stuff, you know.

Like this is where the real nerddom comes in. This is where you have to be a connoisseur to really appreciate stuff.

And then you go there and it's like, okay, these are just like the funco pops that no one wants.

They're like, this is the detritus of monopoly capitalism, but it's from 15 years ago instead of 15 minutes ago.

Well, anyway, there is a land war in Europe happening.
