You know what this reminds me of is how Vice used to let James Franco publish his like shitty book and movie reviews.

Well, you know, he had several different incarnations of this.

Like he also wrote for Indywire.com.

And on Indywire, he had a couple of different columns.

One was called James and Samaj, which is James spelled backwards, where it was him interviewing

himself about various film-related topics. And he had another column that I think only lasted one

or two installments. He wrote it in-character as his character from Spring Breakers. And the first one

was that character from the movie reviewing The Sound and the Fury by Faulkner.

And the headline, I encourage people to look this up. The headline was, them sounds is furious.

Of all them books that boy put out, Sound and the Fury holds a special spot in my heart,

kind of like my first piece of ass.

I was just a little boy, like 16 or something,

when I first read it, and it stuck with me to this day. The Sound in the Fury was William's fourth

book, and it has a stream of consciousness flow that be like one of my fly-ass freestyles.

One thing I will say about jackass though, which I think makes it very precious and which

I think is actually quite interesting is how it's proven completely impervious to kind of

culture war hysteria.
