You know, I'm always paying attention to the most important news stories of our time.

And look, it's been a bit of a hard year for me.

But I found that the year is

never so hard that when the Oscar nominees are announced, I don't like look at my phone and go,

oh, I wonder what got nominated. That happened this week, by the way, folks. That's why I raise it.

The Oscar nominations were announced this week. you probably didn't even notice, because who

cares anymore? Nobody cares. I did look and see what was nominated, and I have no opinion whatsoever

about what was nominated. You know, I could say, oh, I like this one, I don't like that. Who cares?

I'd like to fist bump David Serota for his nomination for Don't Look Up, wouldn't you?

I hope he wins. I think that would make a lot of people upset, and I think that'd be very funny.

You know what I will say, folks? The movie, Drive My Car, which was nominated for Best Picture, is a beautiful film.

Highly recommend people check that film out. That's a recommendation from your old friend Will.

That's the only opinion I will have about the nominations. But here's what I'll say.

I think within the Dex 10 years, the Oscars are really going to have to merge with the Emmys.

Because who are we kidding anymore? You listen to people talk about succession. You listen to people talk about succession you listen to people talk about

euphoria those are the shows that are capturing the zeitgeist not not being the ricardo's give me a

fucking break nobody's watching that shit not belfast and functionally movies and tv like aesthetically

technically no difference anymore.

They're the exact same.
