Today I have a really awesome group of guests

and gotta be honest, one of the most hilarious group of gardeners that I've ever talked to,

and these are the folks over at the Verdant North. So they've got their own podcast,

which I would highly, highly recommend you check out as well. They came on my podcast and it's a fun

conversation guys. We had seven different topics we'll be covering over the course of

this week some really cool critical gardening

information today we're talking about all sorts of pathogenic fungi so things

like alternaria leaf spots blights andabs, all sorts of diseases that can absolutely decimate your plants.

And we're talking with all the folks over at the Verdon North on how we may go about preventing and curing these diseases in a sense.

All right, let's get into it.

Okay, cool. So I think we should probably start off with, it was originally going to be alternaria, right Dan, but I think you broadened it out to just all sorts of pathogenic fungi and what's going on with those.

Yeah.

I do have a fun fact about alternaria though. So yes, it's a pathogenic fungi group, but they actually cause about 20% of agricultural spoilage here in the United States.

So 20% of everything we grow, one fifth, dies because we don't get to eat it. It spoils because of these fungi. No way.
