One day after an American teacher was freed from a Russian prison after being held for more than three years, President Trump says he and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed to begin negotiations to end Russia's war with Ukraine.

He wants it to end. And as President Putin said that, he wants it to end.

He doesn't want to end it and then go back to fighting six months later.

President Trump said he and Putin would likely meet in Saudi Arabia.

The President didn't say if Ukraine would be an equal partner in the peace talks.

And the President said he didn't think it was practical for Ukraine to have NATO membership.

European countries, including Germany, France, Britain, and the European Commission issuing a

statement in support of Ukraine, and they said that they would work with the U.S. on Ukraine's future.

A federal judge allowing the Trump administration to carry out its federal worker buyout program,

rejecting a request by unions representing more than 800,000 federal employees to block the plan, which the unions call

unlawful.

Attorney General Pam Bondi targeting a second state over what she says is a failure to enforce

immigration law.
