Good evening, everybody. Welcome to the Mormon newscast. We've got a lot of news this week. Not much of it good, but we're going to start with a few things that you know about and a few things that I've been trying to hunt up as far as facts regarding the LDS Church that was attacked in Michigan yesterday. Also, President Nelson passed away the night before. Some are trying

to see a connection between the two. We'll get to that when we get to that. But for now,

Well, I'll tell you.

I'll wait for it to do my other precatory comments from that story about the LDS church attacked until it comes up.

First off, I think we're going to be addressing the President Nelson returns to Heavenly Father's story.

Bill Reel will be covering that.

Maniac attacks LDS Church in Michigan. I'll be covering that one.

Missing article on the family proclamation, I think that's a little Nancy Drew sleuthing by

our very own Rebecca Bibliotheca. Tyler Robinson in court today. A little bit about that, we'll talk. It wasn't a very important hearing,

but I found out something that's kind of disturbing. So the last story is LDS missionary numbers

shrinking and temple updates. That's you, isn't it, Rebecca? It is me. And, and, you know, there is some other news

this week that, you know, we will cover toward the end of the broadcast. So. Okay, really good.

Well, let's go ahead and move on to the very first story of tonight with Mr. Real.

I don't, strangely enough, I don't think this is the biggest story.

I think yours is, I threw this in at the front here.

We'll get through it pretty quick.

But President Russell Emelson, 17th president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,

passed away at the age of 101.

He had just gone blind sometime recently, and it had just come out publicly within a few days

of his passing.
