Preparing Our Hearts to be in a Posture of Readiness for God to Work- Spiritual Disciplines Intro- Day 5   When we are pursuing God, to become more like God (His nature and character), that process is called sanctification. That process is God’s work, not our work. Ultimately, we are powerless to change on our own. God’s nature in us is what allows us to change.  Paul mentions 35 times that righteousness is a gift from God. Human striving doesn’t work But it doesn’t mean that we do nothing.
