bill. Both of these are must-pass bills, so Hill leaders and the White House have to come to a deal.

So let's talk government funding. The big issue here, because it impacts, of course, not only making

sure that the lights stay on in the federal government, but also what the first quarter of President-elect Donald Trump's

office really looks like. The current CR funding federal agencies runs out on December 20th. So Trump

obviously takes office just weeks later. And I think probably more importantly to focus on is a speaker

vote is going to happen on January 3rd.

Speaker Mike Johnson wants to pass a short-term CR that extends into 2025.

This is what conservatives want.

It's going to make it easier for Johnson, who has very, very slim numbers to actually be
