who was telling us about how she walked her daughter towards desistance.

Thank you so much for having me.

We're here to really talk about your daughter's desistance.

And as Stella mentioned in the full episode how can

parents manage it when they suspect their child may be moving towards

desistance because in the full episode you alluded to a couple of things including your

daughter's experience of this the kind of regret that she feels and also how you

gave her kind of a bridge out using you know her giftedness or her other kind of traits as potential

explanations and I love something Stella you said a long time ago which is complicating

the narrative and I think this is a great example.

Like there's lots of different reasons you might be feeling this way, it's not just one.

So where should we start there?

That's a lot.

Yeah, so one thing I think it's really important for parents trying to walk their children and parent their children through this is there's no, a lot of times for these kids, there's no a lot of times for these kids there's no

announcement yeah when they're quote-unquote trans identified it you know they want

a parade it's a big deal they get it's a whole new identity and when they're walking out of it. It's a slower burn like it's a slower process.
