So there are two scandals and they're kind of connected.

The first incident occurred when the evangelical publication World Magazine reported in October

of 2012 that appeared that the Susa was having an affair.

According to the article on September 28th 2012, the Susa was the keynote speaker and

an event about defending the Christian faith at first Baptist North Church in Spartan

burg, South Carolina.

Although the Susa was married for 20 years to his wife Dixie, he attended the event

with a woman 22 years his junior, Denise Odie Joseph II.
