As in me and you have covered manipulative tactics used by psychopaths before.

I wasn't alluding to anything else don't worry.

Yeah, yeah, and all those comparisons to Ted Bundy, finally catching up with me.

No, I'm a Denizen frequenter of the Westminster bubble and I must say, I was saying this to you off air my framework has always been

I'm not very good with sarcasm with people in independently I've always fallen afoul of

taking people at face value being honest a bit too often.

But the moment someone is in a position of authority or perceived authority over me,

I disbelieve everything they say.

This might be a holdover from the fact

that most of my teachers as a kid were either callous

or incompetent, but it's given me a sort of healthy heuristic

with which to approach anything someone in government decides to tell me to think.

I mean it's never a bad thing to be skeptical of people in power. I'm certainly not someone who's going to advocate

believing them at face value that That's for damn sure.

But I think it's interesting to discuss it

in terms of manipulation, because of course manipulation

is a psychological dimension, isn't it?

It's something that can be defined in the realm of psychology

and therefore has a whole host of behavioral characteristics
