Hello and welcome to another edition of the Knicks Film School Pre-game show.

My name is Andrew Claudio, aka GMAC, and it's time to preview the preview the next upcoming matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.

Rookie Phenon, Victor Wimbunyama's first trip to the grandest of all basketball stages, Madison Square Garden.

That's right, Wembe and the Spurs, and their most likely path to 25 wins and all the hysteria that's

coming with it on Wednesday night for Wembe's first game at the Mecca.

Nationally televised game, French media, American media, will be all over this.

We'll see just how well Wembe performs.

And joining me to talk about this matchup in just a second will be Jeff Garcia.

He's one of the co-hosts of Locked-on Spurs.

He's also a reporter in San Antonio who covers the Spurs for K-ENS5 in Texas.

So good perspective from him been covering the Spurs for over 20 years.

It sounds grew up watching the Spurs as well.

So he has seen the rise of the Duncan-era Spurs, the Robinson-era Spurs,

the could have been with Kauai.

And then this mini rebuild that has restarted the Spurs.

So I think you're going to enjoy hearing from him in just a little bit.

The Nick Spurs connections are obvious because the first one is the last time the Knicks

went to the NBA Finals. So 1999, as an eighth seed, the Knicks make to the NBA Finals in a

strike shortened season. They lose in five to the spurs.

A young Andrew Claudio was watching the Knicks as a fan for the very first time that

season.
