Hello, everyone, and welcome to Slash Film Weekly. It's Wednesday, November 12th, 2025. On today's episode of the show, we're going to be talking about the latest film and TV news. We'll have a spoiler-filled discussion about Frankenstein. We'll talk about the new documentary Being Eddie and present an interview with that film's director. We'll talk about Predator Badlands and talk with that film's director. And we'll also replay a conversation from earlier this year about a new documentary called Predators, no relation to the sci-fi franchise, and we'll present an interview with that film's director as well. My name is Ben Pearson. I'm an editor at slashfilm.com, and as you can hear, we have a lot going on in this episode, a lot of interviews to get to, a lot of conversations to get to. This might be the longest episode of the show in quite some time. Before we get to that, though, I did want to give a quick plug to the Slash Film Holiday Gift Guide that Brad has been putting together on the site. He's been doing this for a couple years now. And there's an article that just went up not too long ago about movie soundtracks and the folks from Verres Sarah Band sent me the

0:55.3

original soundtrack to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest on vinyl, which is pretty cool. I listened

1:00.7

to that the other day. I totally forgot that this is what the music sounds like for that film. In my

1:06.6

mind, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is this kind of epic story between r p mc murphy and nurse

1:12.4

ratchet and this like guy fighting against the system and like trying to convince all of his

1:17.3

peers to join him in this quest standing up to authority and all that and the music for this movie

1:22.5

is so pleasant like i'm shockingly pleasant i was very surprised at just kind of how chill it was.

1:29.5

I kind of, especially as the action, so to speak, ramps up in the movie, I kind of expected as the soundtrack gets to the end, you know, as everything builds to a conclusion, that the music itself would ramp up and ratchet up the intensity.

1:44.5

And that just does not happen.

1:46.2

It's pretty chill all the way through.

1:48.3

So I've never listened to the score of this film on its own.

1:52.6

But now I'm going to be doing that just when I need a chill soundtrack to making dinner or something.

1:57.2

So thanks to the folks at Perez for sending that out.

1:59.3

And that is one of many,

2:00.8

many soundtracks that Brad included in his write-up for the holiday gift guide. So stay tuned

2:06.7

for more entries in that series at slashfilm.com. Let's get into a few news items real

2:13.1

quick. So K-pop Demon Hunters is obviously a huge sensation on Netflix and we've all been wondering what the deal is going to be with a sequel.

2:22.0

Now we have the answer to that question.

2:24.1

K-pop Demon Hunters 2 is officially happening, but it won't actually come out until 2029, which means there's going to be four years in between movies.

2:33.7

And that is quite the delay.

2:36.7

It turns out that the Spider-Man franchise is partially responsible for this

2:40.9

because Sony Pictures Image Works is the company that does the visual effects
