and we turn from talking about the balloon over North America to talking about she over

Eurasia. Gordon, the relationship between Moscow and Beijing since the beginning of the

war in Ukraine has been both hard to understand and at the same time useful for both capitals

to deny that there's a relationship. However, there are reports that the Deputy Foreign

Minister of China has now traveled to or is about to travel to Moscow. The reason this

may be significant is that she is said to be planning a state visit to Moscow and we're

within days of the one year anniversary of the attack on Ukraine. Ukraine routinely now

is telling us that Russia is planning something big and they don't sound pleased about it.

So I put all these dots on the map and I try to connect them. Is it useful for Beijing?
