Gordon Chang, I'm Gordon-Gee Chang, my colleague and co-host,

the Philippines. In the news again, China and the Philippines display competing flags on disputed South China's sandbank. A sandbank pretty much describes what they're standing on in this photograph. However,

the game is afoot. We welcome Steve Yates of the Heritage Foundation, long anticipated that

China would make a move. It's always been understood it would be Taiwan, sometimes the Okinawa

chain of the Japanese Republic. However, Philippines is

remarkably the weakest of the East Asian authorities who joined with the U.S. and opposing

China. And a move against the Philippines has been successful for China before, dating back more than a dozen years.
