Hi, my name is Father Mike Schmitz.

This is the tension presents.

Holy Week is the holiest time of the year.

The Tritum, the last three days of Holy Week are the most sacred, the most holy time.

And yet I think a lot of us don't necessarily know.

Like, how do I pray in a unique way during Holy Week?

Well, in my town here in Duluth, Minnesota, we have some phenomenal religious sisters

called the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist.

And how they observe Holy Week just blows my mind.

And I want to share with you what they've shared with me about how they observe Holy Week.

Every day has another intention.

Every day has another focus.

So they actually start, not on Palm Sunday, they start on the Saturday before Palm Sunday.

And they call it, it's called Commitment Sunday.

The day before Palm Sunday that Jesus, knowing that he was going to go into Jerusalem and

was going to suffer, he was going to die in Ryzeb and the dead, that he had to reaffirm

that commitment.

His face was set like flint and he was going to go after the Father's will.

So commitment Saturday to be able to say, how committed do I experience my pursuing the

Lord?

Like, he was committed to pursuing me in his march to Calvary.

Number two was Palm Sunday, of course, called Procession Sunday.
