Would you turn with me, please, to James this morning, James Chapter 5.

On these Sunday mornings, for the past few weeks, the Lord has directed us, we believe, to minister on the subject of prayer.

Prayer principles, principles of prayer. And we believe it is a vital,

vital subject, and that it's a key to our development at this point of our growth as a church,

that we learn more about praying. And we're not just doing this to learn about praying but to put

it into practice right and not just pray but pray effectively right it's not just quantity of prayer

that is the important thing is quality of prayer and i found in my few years of walking with

the lord and in the ministry there's a whole lot of wasted motion in what people call prayer there's a lot of

vain prayer wasted motion and wasted praying j Jesus talked about vain prayer.

And we don't want vain prayer.

We want effective, productive, fruitful praying.

So we don't want to just pray.

We want to pray according to the Lord, according to the Word, according to faith.

So in James 5, let's read our text again.

Let's pray before we do this and let's release our faith concerning revelation.

And don't just, you know, kind of bide your time while I pray.

This is a time for you to pray and release your faith that the Lord will speak to you,

whether it's something directly said through me or something that he said that I didn't say.

But revelation will come to you.

How many believe the Lord could give you something good this morning that help you out,

answer your questions, redirect something that's not right, solve a problem, right? But you must look to him, not looking at me. I won't

have my eyes on you. You don't get your eyes on me. We'll have our eyes on the Lord. And he'll
