There is nothing worth living for unless it is worth dying for.

My grandmother lived a life devoted to Jesus, and today her talks have been made available

in their original form.

So you too can be built up through the insights and mysteries God revealed to her throughout

her ministry.

Now without further ado, here is Elizabeth Elliott.

So the title of my second talk is the same as the one for the first prayer cooperation

with God, but I want to be emphasizing the third phrase in the Lord's prayer.

You talked about thy kingdom come, thy will be done.

And now give us this day our daily bread.

Now what I didn't say very much about if anything this morning was the first words our father

who art in heaven.

And when we use those words, we are putting ourselves in place.

We're taking the proper place that we should take in prayer.

We do not come to God with any rights.

We don't come with any claims against Him.

We come as this only with the claim of being His children.

His helpless, ignorant children who need a father, who need guidance, who need to know

what His will and His kingdom involves.

And in this third clause that we're thinking about this afternoon, we come asking for the

most common and ordinary commodity bread.

Give us this day our daily bread.
