Hey, welcome to another guided prayer experience.

I'm Judah, and I get the privilege of inviting you into a very specific type of prayer today.

This prayer given to us in what we call the New Testament encourages us to pray prayers of authority.

Prayers that are you and me exercising the authority that God has given us.

For instance, authority over your home.

Leadership and authority that you've been given in maybe the workplace at your school, on your team, with your roommate, classmate, teammate, you have a role, things under your leadership,

under your care, under your responsibility.

The New Testament says, hey, stand in that place of authority and pray for those things

under your leadership.

You can imagine as a dad, this is one of my favorite types of prayer as I pray for my kids with authority.

They are under my authority. So I can pray strong prayers, direct prayers.

Some would say demonstrative prayers. So prayer of authority for my kids, for me would sound something like this. God, I thank you as the father of Zion,

Elliot, and grace. I have authority to declare and ask for your divine protection over their bodies, their brains over their souls over their past

their present their future I declare that they are yours I declare that their path is

guided by God you will never leave them nor forsake them I declare that they will always be protected and provided for

and kept under the shadow of your wings may they know your still small voice may they know you the shepherd

who guides and corrects and leads and comforts.

I pray against any plan or scam or scheme against them that it will not work.

These attempts to hurt them or distract them or detour them from your plan would not develop

and would not be successful and I stand in this place as dad to these three humans.

And I thank you for the authority that I have.

And I take it.
