Welcome my friends to another Friday, Pray Together episode. I'm so thankful that you're with me to pray.

Prayer is such an important thing, such a powerful thing that our Almighty God has given us

where we can reach out and touch him in a way. We were able to appeal to his heart for his people to respond to the situations going on in their lives and to act as

only he can act. This is an act of faith, this is an act of worship, this is an act of

love for our brothers and sisters in Christ, and ultimately

love for our God by expressing our belief that he can take action and can bring about change

in the lives of people.

thoughts about prayer around Ezekiel chapter 22.

Now the book of Ezekiel is a very interesting book.

It is a book of prophecy, and it is God

prophesying the destruction of the city of Jerusalem, the destruction of his own people

because of their disobedience. And in Ezekiel chapter 22, he says this to the prophet Ezekiel.

He says, I looked for someone among them

who would build up the wall and stand before me

in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it but I

found no one. And so what is he describing? Well this imagery of the wall having a hole in it and someone to stand in the gap.

That is an image of destruction that has come or is in the process of coming because of judgment,
