Luke chapter 18, verse 1, and he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

Right after this verse, Jesus goes on to tell this story about a widow who kept coming to a judge asking for justice and she kept coming time and time and time

again. That's the language. She kept coming to him. And finally, the judge

gave justice. And Jesus says, if this unrighteous judge will do that, how much more will the

God who is perfectly just give justice to those who come to him in faith and keep coming,

asking and praying?

And as I read this verse, I think about things I've been praying for for a long time.

People I've been praying for, circumstances I've been praying would for for a long time, people I've been praying for, circumstances

I've been praying would change for a long time and I'm tempted to give up, to lose heart,

to use the exact language from Luke 181. And I would just ask you, is there anything that

comes to your mind?

When it comes to prayers, you're tempted to give up praying.

People you've prayed for, that you're tempted to lose heart because God doesn't seem to be

answering circumstances you've prayed for time and time again, but you're tempted to lose
