marriage a place of celebration or a sore spot? Whichever it is, do you pray over it? If it's a sore

spot, the essential ingredient to transforming your sex life from a struggle to celebration is prayer.

Philippians 4, 6, and 7 tell us that we can bring every situation to the Lord in prayer,

even if it feels uncomfortable. And sex is something we can absolutely pray about. Now I know it

might be tempting to pray, dear Lord, please take away her sex drive, or, dear Lord, please give him more of a sex drive.

But that's not the place to start.

Focusing on them takes your empowerment away.

The place to start is within your own heart, because a person who is healthy physically, spiritually, and emotionally has the

intellectual clarity and empathy to start approaching their spouse in a collaborative way

to address the issues through care. Even if you feel relatively healthy, there is always room

for personal growth through prayer. The sexual intimacy in your marriage can transform

from a sore spot to a place of celebration when you partner with God in prayer. And remember,

let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Don't be anxious about anything,

but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with

Thanksgiving, present your request to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all

understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

And finally, brothers, whatever is noble, whatever is true, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is

lovely, whatever is admirable. If anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such
