Isaiah chapter 54, verse 5.

For your maker is your husband.

The Lord of hosts is his name.

And the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer.

The God of the whole earth he is called.

Is this not an awesome verse?

Just hear all the different titles for God. And not just for who

he is, but who he is in relationship to you and me, to all who trust in him. He is your maker,

the one who formed you, fastened, you, created you, your maker is your husband. This picture of the marriage relationship

between God and his people, that as a husband loves his wife, so God loves you. He is the Lord

of hosts, the Lord of Heavenly armies and angels. That's his name. He's the Lord of hosts. He is the

Holy One of Israel. So that's the fourth title for God here, the perfect one who reigns over

his people, the holy one, the one who is without error, the one who is without equal, the

incomparable one. What we read in Isaiah chapter 40,

to whom will you compare me? Who is my equal, says the Holy One. He is your redeemer. That's the fifth

title. He's the one who redeems you, saves you, makes that which is wrong, right. And then sixth title, in just one verse, the God of the

whole earth, he is called. He's the God of the whole earth. Don't you just love praying

according to God's word? Like, this is one verse, and there is so much to pray according to in it.
