I used to think that praise was about saying nice things about, you know, some being out

there in the heavens.

Which when you think of it, it's kind of an odd assumption, because though God was

as insecure as me and needs His ego, stroked as well, you know, by a bunch of human beings

on earth.

Tell me I'm awesome, everybody.

Tell me again, I can't hear you.

We just spell out Jesus's name.

Give me a J.

But now I see that's not what praise is.

I think Yeshua would have a laugh, honestly, if you would attend some of the praise services

that I was part of.

I think a lot of it was just a distortion or caricature of praise at best.

The way I see praise at this point is that it's essentially a yes.

It's a yes to our lives.

To illustrate what I mean by that, tell you a little story.

I wrote my daughter, Omnali, a song, a while back.

Here I'll play a quick piece of it.

Now, I play a lot of songs for Omnali.

I'm writing songs pretty much all the time, and I like playing them for her because she

doesn't normally be asked me about them, she'll tell me if she doesn't like them or if
