Thanksgiving is not just a holiday.

we pray that God will help us learn how to develop grateful hearts and hopes.

Lester Roloff once said that sometimes you can praise your way through things that you can't

You know, I have learned that praise is one of the most powerful elements of prayer.

There have been times in my life when I was pleading with God,

begging with God about something and could seem to get no victory and no breakthrough and then at some moment

begin thanking you for doing it I'm going to praise you for who you are what you've done what you're doing and what you're going to do thanking you for doing it. I'm going to praise you for who you are,

what you've done, what you're doing, and what you're going to do. And you know what I've

discovered? I've discovered that Brother Roloff was right. Sometimes you can praise your way through

things you can't pray your way through. That praise opens up so much about God to us and opens up often the way of prayer itself.

We've been studying this week Psalm 100 and the power of praise. We've learned that praise is

powerful because of who we are praising. It's the Lord. We've learned that praise is powerful

because of why we praise him. All for his goodness and his mercy and his truth.

But now I want to show you that praise is powerful because of what happens to us when we praise

him. Now, on the other end, he gets glory. Isn't that wonderful? But God has designed it so that what

brings him the most glory also brings us the most good.
