I'd like to talk to you today about the fact that praise isn't always obvious.

Now as human beings we love praise, don't we love receiving positive feedback, we love being told that we're loved, we're special, we're important, we matter, we're appreciated, all of the things. I get it.

And in some situations we receive that, right?

We receive that feedback, we receive that love,

it's verbal, it's clear, it's that, you know,

make no mistake about it, the praise and appreciation,

live.

They are obvious.

But a lot of the time, my friends,

the sentiment, right, the truth, the author. the authentic nature of simply how some people are and how some people communicate

means that they don't tell you with lavish words or insanely, you know, verbose text messages

or handwritten cards. They don't convey praise and love that way, a lot of people convey praise differently.

It's more subtle, and sometimes in fact I think it's even more beautiful because somehow it feels

almost less cheap it feels more real it feels within its modesty or within its kind of quiet request here and there.

You can actually feel someone's love and appreciation for you. I want to give you a couple of examples of this. When I was a

pretty new life coach, so around 10 years ago, I had this client who worked with me and she was in my first, definitely

in my first 10 clients. And I was figuring out my style, you know, back then, I wasn't completely confident in the coaching that I was giving, right? A lot of confidence comes to experience from action, from being out there and doing the things.

And I remember thinking to myself,

I don't know how much this client is getting out of it.

Because a lot of my other clients at that time

were like, wow, this has made me feel so good, I have such clarity now,
