If we think of the word mutant, it comes from mutagenic, mutation, now a mutation is when

you irrevocably change a genetic structure. So you add a mutation to a developing gene structure

and it mutates it changes and then when that organism reproduces it carries with it the added mutation. But a tectration is when it changes

the molecular structure of that being, but it can't be passed on. A genetic difference happens, but it only happens

of that generation and that generation alone, and then it reverts back to that with it had previously

been for the subsequent generations.
