To think that the foundation of the practice is a simplicity of being.

So I don't know exactly what that means, but simplicity of being, don't make it complicated,

don't make yourself complicated, don't have to be anything different or become anything different than what you are.

Kind of a certain contentment with just whatever is who warrants contentment in the present moment.

There might be a lot of things to be discontented about.

But the simplicity of beings stays close to where the contentment is,

stays close to just our willingness to just be a simple person, ordinary person, not a special person, and

a special person, and there's a joy in that simplicity.

And so sit and meditate, the simplicity of being is very closely connected to just sitting here and breathing.

It doesn't have to be more complicated than that.

Walking meditation is just the simplicity of being

and walking and walking.

And don't have to make it more complicated to make it a big project to attain something or engineering job of trying to really get more into the details of it.

But in that simplicity of being, if you can be content with that, then

something begins to grow. And for each of us, maybe it's different, what grows, but one of the things

that can grow is a simple feeling at home here

in this body at this time.

And that's a phenomenal reference point for understanding our life better.
