Bailey Ober, my gosh, nine innings, zero-earns runs, a Maddox. Complete game shout out two with zero walks and seven strikeouts. Got the win against the Marlins, my gosh, Bailey Ober, Mr. 88 miles per hour,

you know, back to the future here. And this is just bonkers to me, right? Three earned runs

total and four of his last five outings with 27 innings in that time. And of course, there's a

bad one in there. But this is just not meant to last, okay? And I am not trying to say that a pitcher because he throws an 88 mile by hour fastball means he's always going to do poorly.

No.

Bailey Ober actually looked at the game card of this, which by the way, if you didn't notice, inside the SP roundups,

It's awesome and Bailey Ober ranked really well.

Good PLV because again location.

So the stuff wasn't even terrible.

It was like a B.

It was above average stuff which is like wait, hold on a second. How?

Well, because this change is really, really good. And the fast level, even it's below average, then the PLV was above average. And he was executing a lot really well. And I'm not saying that he's destined to just be bad, but it's just not the kind of game that you want to play.

You don't want to put yourself in a situation where the floor is so low where we really haven't seen ceilings that are very high like this. I mean, this says, come on. There's no way that anyone expected him to throw up Maddox in 2026. So I would be very cautious going after Bailey Ober right now. I'm not, of course, with Paul Skeens's, who had a perfect game going, and then it just didn't happen in the seventh and whatever, fine, but eight innings, zeroed runs two hits, zero walks, and ten strikeouts with 19 whiffs is awesome. It was Rocky Road, and I kind of was like going into this, okay, come on, this is the day, and felt really good through six, so it goes, he is certainly Highlander right now, as there can only be one clear front-runner, best pitcher in baseball, and that's Paul Skeens. Shane McClanahan against the Jays, five-innings, zero runs, one-hit, one-hawk, and seven strikeouts. Yes, he's not getting six innings, and for those in quality starts leagues, it's really frustrating. 80 pitches here, they're not really pushing him. However, I'm thinking of this like

Drew Rasmussen. Over time, the race felt more comfortable throwing him longer. Also, they don't

want to push Chey McClanahan for the entire season, more than about 150 innings or so. So let's

front load that a bit, and then by the summer, you probably will see those five, six inning games.

and seven Ks.
