Democrats. But what if a world in which Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump are not running in the

campaign or are not dominating the story? What else is there? I welcome Bill Whalen of the Hoover

institution who runs a number of significant podcasts. They're all fun to listen to. The one

I'm looking at right now is policy and politics. His conversation with his good colleague Benjamin

Let's start with the Democrats. Great fun. In the world in which President Biden does not run

for reelection. Chooses to step aside after his four successful years. I have a list here that

begins with the governor of California, Gavin Newsom with his great hair and his great attitude,

pleasant sunny attitude and also a state that would deliver, he can deliver in in in in

in triplicate the great state of California. After that, the list becomes more speculative.

Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Robert Kennedy, I believe,

of Massachusetts and Marianne Williamson. I don't know what her state is and you mentioned to me,

there are members of Congress who might be running. What is your measure of these other names in

the Democratic Party? Are they overwhelmed by Governor Newsom or is there play here? Good evening,

in the Democratic field of that's Marianne Williamson who you mentioned. She's a California, by the way,

and then RFK Jr. I think is actually technically a New Yorker, John. But that's it. And you compare

this to say 1968 when Lyndon Johnson drops just a huge bomb. Democrats goes on TV and announces

he's not running. You already have Democrats who are running against him, most probably at that time,

Eugene McCarthy, who had surprised him and New Hampshire and that prompted LBJ to get out.
