Daniel Hanager, writing Wonderland for the Wall Street Journal, Deputy Editor at

Atorial Page, commenting on the success of Kevin McCarthy negotiating with the

President of the United States for the debt deal to be raised and look forward to in

some fashion, inhibiting spending.

Spending is the topic that has threatened the security of the United States for many years

and it's upon us that it has a deadline.

It has to do with entitlements.

However, before we turn to spending, I note that according to Dan's reporting, all

of the Republican candidates for the presidency, including Donald Trump, agree that spending

is the problem in Washington.

All of them agree that if one of them is successful, it will mean an administration that is devoted

to reducing spending.

There is no amount of interest rate raising.

There's no amount of investment.

There's no amount of anything that can match cutting spending at the federal government

level.

However, before we move to that, a comment from Dan about these hours of the revelation

that Donald Trump has indicted on many counts of document abuse.
