reporting most recently on the U.S. and its intention to reawaken its defense industrial base.

At the same time, the U.S. intending to address the enormous amount of debt that's built up over these last years especially

by reducing the size of government and perhaps deregulation as well.

But right now we have a Supreme Court Justice decision about the size of government.

The Supreme Court cited with the Trump administration for the second day in a row in emergency litigation,

this time in a case involving federal work firings, a five-to-four decision.

Justice Sotomayor and Kenji Brown Jackson,

Donji Brown Jackson dissented from the grant of the Trump administration's application.

The administration had filed an urgent appeal seeking an immediate halt to a California judge's order to reinstate 16,000 fired federal employees.

Gregory, I come to you on this matter because it speaks immediately to the contest going on in

Washington between bureaucrats and political voices, political actors.

It's longstanding, but what these numbers suggest to me

is that something different is happening now.

Is that accurate?

16,000 is a lot of people from the Treasury, from defense, from commerce,

from all the agencies that have been occupied these many

years. What is this leaning towards? Is this a rejection of bureaucrats? Is this in some
