The Trump administration, first year, delivering a budget to Congress.

It is not dead on arrival.

There's news.

I welcome Veronique du Reggie of the Mercatus Center,

writing about the new budget, and what's not to like.

There's a reduction, we're told, of federal spending.

And for years now, Veronique has guided me to understand the solution to America's debt and all of America's burden of debt maintenance is for Congress to cut the spending, to be serious about the entitlements,

to take them on despite the fears

that it will ruin your reelection chances.

Well, the chances are you're not gonna get reelected anyway

with that debt growing.

However, Bernie, the president presenting and his counselor's advising is talking of a budget with a

reduction in expenditure. That's a good thing. But you say there's some hidden parts here.

Good evening to you. Good evening, John. Yes. I mean, at least this president

budget is trying to cut spending. I mean, it's a very small part of our overall budget,

but at least there's an attempt to do it. Unfortunately, it's not enough to compensate for the

increase in spending that's coming in the reconciliation bill.

But they're trying, unless like the Biden administration, who's just kind of content with increasing dramatically discretionary spending,

this administration is trying to cut.

What about entitlements?
