Summary
This week, Kate resuscitates the 2019 sorority deep dive to bring you part 3: the potential new member bender. The tides didn't turn but they have appeared to have rolled in the favor of Bama rush taking over Tiktok For You pages across the nation. In this episode, Kate breaks down her fascination with reliving sorority recruitment via Tiktok, her confusion at where their accessories are from, reminisces about her own experience with raising her glass (then getting sent to standards), and discusses the part of it she hasn't covered enough: what this would look like if you weren't selected. Additionally, she dives into the lore of University of Alabama's "old row" vs. "new row" and the secret society called The Machine that is rumored to still wield a great deal of power, not only over student government, but also local & state political elections. Then, Kate does a snorkel through the Grammy nominee CDs from '96 and '98 and forgets why, but pretty sure Billie Eilish's latest bridge has something to do with it.
