There could be a deal. I'm Lisa Lacerra. Fox News. Late word from the Office of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of a deal that would limit a government shutdown. Earlier, seven Republicans in the Senate sided with Democrats to kill a package of six bills that included funding for the Department of Homeland Security. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham voted for the legislation,

but that he does agree that reforms are needed for ICE.

I don't mind having some reasonable reforms and learning from the mistakes.

But here's what I'm telling my Democratic friends.

That's a Band-Aid.

The cancer is the sanctuary city policy adopted by 12 states that creates

chaos for the rest of the 38. House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries. We believe that there

should be a prohibition on ICE deporting or detaining American citizens. We believe that ICE should

conduct itself like every other law enforcement agency

in the country. Any deal would still need to go before the House, which won't be in session until next

week. Borders are Tom Holman, now in Minneapolis, as the Trump administration looks to bring down

the temperature after the fatal shooting of Alex Freddie last Saturday. He says if protesters want changes to ICE, they should seek new legislation.

If you want certain laws reformed and take it up with Congress, again, ICE is making this

up.

They're enforcing laws enacted by Congress and signed by president.

The same laws have been on the books for the last six presidents I work for.
