All right, everybody, welcome back to another edition of the untitled jeff luck podcast i'm your host

jeff luck i'm here in the room at media day after the meyers brothers luncheon in las vegas

and what's going to happen now is a bunch of drivers just come out of this luncheon.

They're open media availability. So I'm going to try to walk up to some of them who aren't

being talked to by other media and see if they'll talk to me for the podcast. This is completely

unplanned and unscheduled. So bear with me. I don't know how this is going to go.

but I'm pretending it's live sort of Kyle Larson how are you I'm good how are you I'm great I'm

I was wondering so you never get nervous in a race car at least that I could tell but when they call

you up for a speech and they're like hey and I looked back at the teleprompter and just says

Kyle Larson unscripted remarks and you're just like what so what do you get nervous in that

situation oh definitely definitely i literally i didn't know i was getting the award until

about nine in the morning and then uh you know right before i i asked rob mckinney with the ask

i'm like hey so I don't have to say

anything right and he's like oh no no you just got to take a picture it's like all right perfect

and uh yeah I mean the guy there's like telling it tell me yeah go you know you'll stand to

the next of the trophy and take a picture and then after the picture you'll have a speech

I'm like I have a speech what I'm like I I have a speech. What? I'm like, I'm not ready for this.

So yeah, it was pretty bad, but I was nervous. So do they actually hand you a paper check that says

like $100,000 on it and you put it in your pocket? I have no idea. I didn't get anything.

So I actually just text my manager. I was like, hey, I get a cut of that check, right?

I had some big money.
