up data soed I don't quite know what to call it. Anyways, season six is complete and I just wanted to post a little follow-up update.

You know, share some plans for the near future for season 7, talk about some other music stuff that I've been up to, make

some recommendations of some books and some music that I've been enjoying, and yeah

just kind of check in. So first of all season six is complete. I feel really good

about it. A pedantic, an enjoyably pedantic listener in the Strong songs

discord pointed out that I shouldn't have said that I thought season six was my best work ever since according to grammar

that implies that I will never do better work than that in addition to it being better than everything I've done before.

So instead let me just say that I think that season six was my best work yet

and I'm also excited to surpass it with season seven.

I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on the season overall and that made me feel really good I was happy with how it came together as I've talked about over on patreon with my updates and behind the scenes stuff I took a pretty different approach to production this season I did a lot more the that was helped greatly by my wife Emily, who I have mentioned in the credits for each episode.

She helped me add a lot of structure to how I make the show.

She even made me this lovely color-coded spreadsheet that I has these little boxes that I fill in as I finish

different elements of each episode and it made a really big difference that kind of

thing can make more of a difference than you might think especially if you are a solo creator like me and you do everything yourself a really work. Like a friend of mine who works in in production in a different field made the observation

that when it comes to team size, 1 plus 1 equals much more than 2, and I think that that is very true. It was my first

time really experiencing that and Emily was extremely helpful and as a result of

her help and that production approach, I think the season just, it works differently.

I got to spend a lot more time on recreations in particular and just on really nailing down what I wanted to talk about with each song.

You know, doing more research, having more time to watch documentaries and read books, finding

more external sources so that I could include little bits of color commentary from the people who actually made the music.

A lot of that just, I don't know, I was very happy with how it all worked with the mix that I was hitting.
